North Texas Basset Hound Rescue, Inc. in Grapevine, TX
North Texas Basset Hound Rescue, Inc. is a rescue organization based in Grapevine, Texas, in Tarrant County, roughly 15 miles southwest of Fort Worth, and is one of 25 animal shelters and rescues serving that county. The organization is dedicated exclusively to Basset Hounds and relies on a network of foster homes rather than a physical shelter facility to care for its rescued dogs. In foster care, each dog becomes part of a real family, allowing it to be socialized with other dogs and people, which helps create a smoother transition into a permanent adoptive home. The rescue also emphasizes giving senior dogs a second chance, welcoming them into loving new homes alongside younger hounds.
