Michele's Rescue, established in 1997 and located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization. We operate as a no-kill rescue, taking in and adopting out animals from across the country. Many of the animals we rescue are at risk of being euthanized and rely on organizations like ours to help them find loving homes. Each animal is vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and fleas, tested for heartworm, and, importantly, spayed or neutered. The only challenge these animals face is the absence of a family—your family.

Adoption process

Michele's Rescue, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is currently not accepting applications from out of state. To initiate the adoption process, you must complete an adoption application, ensuring that all fields are filled out accurately. By submitting the application, you confirm that all provided information is truthful. Upon adopting an animal, you will also need to sign a legally binding contract. All animals at Michele's Rescue are vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and fleas, heartworm tested, and, importantly, spayed or neutered. The adoption fees are as follows: - Puppies aged 0 to 12 months: $350 - Dogs aged 13 months to 3 years: $300 - Dogs aged 4 years and older: $200 - Kittens up to 12 months old: $150 - Adult cats aged 13 months and older: $95 We accept payment via cash, Venmo, money order, or check with prior approval.
