Koby's Promise, Inc. in Saugatuck, MI

We are a foster-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing at-risk companion animals from high-kill shelters. Additionally, we accept strays and owner surrenders. All animals in our care receive comprehensive veterinary care, including vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and microchipping, before they are made available for adoption. We also offer low-cost microchipping services to the public. Throughout the year, we organize adoption events at various locations and strive to educate the community on the importance of vaccinations and spaying/neutering through our Facebook page and these events. Our Koby's Companions program enables senior citizens and veterans to adopt or long-term foster a senior pet without any adoption fees.

Adoption process

To begin the adoption process, an application must be completed. We will verify veterinary references and contact your landlord if you are renting. A home visit will also be conducted. The adoption fees are as follows: $300 for puppies up to six months old, $250 for dogs between six months and six years, and $175 for dogs over six years. For cats, the fees range from $80 to $100, depending on the cost incurred. Our Koby's Companions senior program has no adoption fee, and we provide veterinary care and food for these pets.

Service area: We serve the state of Michigan, including the cities and surrounding towns of Niles, Holland, Saugatuck, and Grand Rapids. Our service extends to the counties of Berrien, Cass, Van Buren, Allegan, Kent, and Kalamazoo.
