Our mission is to offer these deserving animals a loving second chance at a fulfilling life. We focus on rescuing, sheltering, rehabilitating, and finding them suitable human companions in nurturing homes. Our animals are cared for in a secure and comfortable environment for the duration of their natural lives. LoveHandlers.org operates as a no-kill sanctuary, entirely funded by donations.

Adoption process

To adopt a dog from LoveHandlers, you must complete an application contract, provide a veterinary reference, and participate in a phone interview. All dogs are healthy, unless a disability is specified, and they have been spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworm. Each dog is transported clean, with trimmed nails, flea prevention, and a new collar with a tag. LoveHandlers takes great care to thoroughly assess the adoptive situation before placing a dog in a new home, which includes checking veterinary references. To start the adoption process, please fill out and submit the Adoption Application and Contract Package. Submitting the application does not guarantee adoption; we will contact you for a phone interview if your application is considered for approval. If approved, an adoption fee of $250 or more will be required, which can be paid via phone or through our online donation link.
