About this shelter

Dalmatian Rescue of Puget Sound in Lake Stevens, WA

Dalmatian Rescue of Puget Sound is a dedicated network of individuals who are passionate about the welfare of Dalmatians. Our mission is to rescue these dogs from shelters where they may face the risk of euthanasia. We collaborate with shelters and rescue organizations not only in the Pacific Northwest but also across the country. We provide them with loving homes and the care they deserve. When we are unable to accommodate a dog ourselves, we actively seek out individuals who can. We also strive to ensure they receive necessary medical care, often covering the costs ourselves.

Before you go

Adopting from Dalmatian Rescue of Puget Sound

Adoption process

The adoption process begins with filling out an adoption inquiry form. Following this, we will reach out to you for a brief interview. Next, we will arrange a meeting between you and the Dalmatian. If you have other dogs, they should accompany you, and the meeting will take place in a neutral location, such as a dog park. If all parties feel a connection, you will then complete an adoption application. We will proceed to check your references and schedule a home visit. After that, we will bring the dog to your home for a visit. At this point, you will sign an adoption contract, which includes a commitment to return the dog to Dalmatian Rescue of Puget Sound if, for any reason, you are unable to keep it. An adoption fee of $150 applies for dogs under the age of 10, and $75 for dogs 10 years or older. Once these steps are completed, you can enjoy your new life with your best friend.
