Adoption Process

The adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $70, which includes a 7-in-1 vaccination, deworming, rabies vaccination, and a spay/neuter certificate. The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $60, which includes a 4-in-1 vaccination, deworming, rabies vaccination, and a spay/neuter certificate. Adopted pets must be taken to a veterinarian within 72 hours of adoption and are required to be spayed or neutered.

SOS Pets of Ouachita in West Monroe, LA

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter in West Monroe, Louisiana. Our primary objective is to raise funds for the construction of a new shelter. To achieve this, we have established a partnership with the Ouachita Parish Police Jury, as we intend to build on their property. Our efforts will provide improved accommodations for the animals and facilitate community education on animal welfare, the importance of spaying and neutering, and increasing awareness of animals in need of homes.
