Adoption Process

The adoption process involves submitting an application, followed by a home visit. References from a veterinarian are required, and it is necessary to have a fenced yard for dogs. Cats must be kept indoors. The adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. All adopters are required to sign contracts.

HOPE for Animals in Thibodaux, LA

HOPE for Animals is a non-profit, all-volunteer animal rescue organization dedicated to the welfare of animals. We rescue approximately 200 stray animals each year, focusing on those who have been neglected or abused. Established over 20 years ago, our organization offers an alternative to local kill shelters for the citizens of this area. Our volunteers engage in year-round fundraising to cover all medical costs, including vaccinations, spaying and neutering, heartworm treatment, and care for existing medical conditions or injuries. In addition to these efforts, we manage a feral cat Trap-Neuter-Release program funded through grants, donations, and adoption fees. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home homeless animals in our community.
