Central Coast Border Collie Rescue (CCBCRescue) is committed to finding homes for Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, Australian Cattle Dogs, Queensland Heelers, and other herding breeds and mixes. Our website features listings for dogs in shelters as well as those in homes and foster care, serving as a resource for adopters looking for suitable pets and for dogs in need of loving homes. We recognize that herding dogs are not suitable for everyone. Many adopters acquire these dogs as status symbols, only to discover that their lifestyles do not meet the needs of these high-energy animals. Consequently, many of these wonderful but misunderstood dogs end up in shelters. We understand the unique traits of these breeds and strive to place them in appropriate environments. Our mission is to educate the public and save dogs, driven by our passion for these animals. With a little effort, we believe we can help them lead fulfilling lives. We advocate for education as the solution to the issue of animal overpopulation, rather than euthanasia.
