Homeless Animal Rescue Team - HART in Cambria, CA

Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART) is a rescue organization based in Cambria, California, in San Luis Obispo County, where six other animal shelters and rescues also operate. HART is a no-kill, cage-free rescue and adoption center focused primarily on cats, taking in strays and felines who have lost their homes due to the death or illness of an owner and placing them into permanent homes. The organization also runs active spay/neuter programs aimed at reducing the number of unwanted animals born in the area, and its adoption center welcomes visitors to spend time with the cats, who are housed in three separate rooms in a home-like setting. HART sits about 100 miles northeast of Fresno, California, on the state's Central Coast.
