Adoption Process

To begin the adoption process, an application must be completed. We will verify all personal and veterinary references provided. A home visit is also required. Once a pet is placed with you, a contract must be signed. Adoption fees vary depending on factors such as the pet's age and medical conditions.

The service areas include the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions, as well as the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

Keeshond Affiliated Rescuers of the Mid Atlantic in BENA, VA

We are an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue of Keeshond dogs in the Mid-Atlantic region. Our mission is to promote the welfare of the Keeshond breed through charitable and educational initiatives as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specifically, we focus on rescuing, fostering, and placing abandoned, abused, and unwanted Keeshonds into permanent, loving homes, while also educating the public about this breed.
