Nerdy Paws Animal Rescue is a volunteer-driven organization focused on rescuing at-risk animals from under-resourced shelters in the Eastern United States. Our mission includes not only caring for and finding homes for the animals we rescue, but also engaging with the public to raise awareness about the significance of animal rescue and welfare. We are committed to creating a future where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home.

Adoption process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an application. After receiving the application, we will review it and verify personal and veterinary references, as well as consult with your landlord if applicable. Next, there will be a meet and greet to assess the compatibility between you and the animal. Following this, a home visit will be conducted to ensure a suitable environment for the pet. Once all checks are complete, you will need to pay the adoption fee and sign an adoption contract. Finally, you will be able to take your new animal companion home.
