Adoption Process

The adoption fees are $325 for dogs under the age of seven and $250 for dogs over the age of seven. There is also a $20 application fee. The adoption application requires references and a veterinary check. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Individuals living in rental properties must obtain permission from their landlord. A home visit is also required as part of the adoption process.

SSR is an organization dedicated to the German Shepherd Dog breed, founded by individuals who are passionate about animal rescue. The founders previously collaborated with another rescue organization and actively promoted rescue efforts on social media. Their desire to save more dogs from areas with higher euthanasia rates led them to establish this rescue. SSR focuses on rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters located out of state, transporting them to Virginia, providing veterinary care, and ultimately finding them loving homes.
