Adoption Process

After the adoption application is approved and references have been verified, an adoption contract will be signed. For all Shrinking Violets, which are cats that are not fully socialized, the adoption fee is $25. The adoption requirements include: the cat may not be declawed, and if for any reason the adoption does not work out, the cat must be returned to our organization. The cat's new home must be indoors only, in a quiet and low-activity environment, and should include older children. Additionally, the cat must be taken to a veterinarian within 10 days of adoption.

After eight years of rescue work with another organization that is now dissolving, I am establishing a new group in response to the urgent need for animal welfare in this area. I believe that every cat deserves protection from the elements, access to food, and humane care. My goal is to reduce euthanasia rates in shelters and support the community by providing a safe haven for sick, orphaned, and abandoned cats through a network of foster homes as we grow.
