All-American Mutt Rescue, Inc. is a foster-based animal rescue organization founded on a deep love and compassion for animals. Located in Huddleston, Virginia, we are centrally positioned, approximately 30 minutes from Lynchburg, Smith Mountain Lake, and Bedford, and 60 minutes from Roanoke. Our motto, “Rescue … rehome … real love,” reflects our daily commitment to rescuing animals in need of new homes and loving families. We ensure that each animal is spayed or neutered and up-to-date on all routine vaccinations. If additional medical care or treatment is necessary, we provide that as well. We welcome animals into our homes, allowing us to understand their personalities and needs thoroughly. Our mission is to re-home them into the perfect forever homes. We recognize that some animals thrive with canine companions, while others may prefer to be the only pet. Some enjoy the company of children, while others are more comfortable with adults. Additionally, some can coexist with cats or other small pets, while others may not be suitable for such arrangements. The best way to understand these needs is through direct experience. We also focus on educating and encouraging pet owners to spay or neuter their animals. This practice not only helps pets lead longer, healthier lives but also contributes to reducing the number of homeless and unwanted animals in our Central Virginia communities. Spaying or neutering is a simple yet impactful step that benefits both pets and families while helping to decrease the number of adoptable animals that face euthanasia each year.
