Adoption Process

We frequently receive inquiries regarding the application process for adopting one of our rescued dogs. The initial step is to complete an application available at our website. Please click on the apply button associated with the dog you are interested in. If you currently have pets, you will need to submit their medical records as proof that they are up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. We will reach out to you once this initial step is completed. Thank you for your interest.

Caring Hearts Rescue in springfield, VA

Caring Hearts Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Fairfax, Virginia. Our volunteers are dedicated to rescuing small breed dogs from dire circumstances, including neglect, puppy mill situations, owner surrender, and euthanasia due to overpopulation in animal shelters. All rescued dogs are placed in safe foster homes while they wait for their permanent homes. Each dog undergoes a thorough examination, receives vaccinations, and is spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Caring Hearts Rescue relies solely on donations to sustain its operations. Our officers and staff are not compensated for their services; they find fulfillment in the mission of saving these precious lives.
