Adoption Process

All adoptable cats and dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped. We carry out comprehensive adoption interviews to ensure a good match. For cats, we require that they not be declawed and that they be kept indoors only. Adopters will need to sign a contract, and pets may only be returned to us. Adoption fees are listed for each available pet.

Paw Placement is a no-kill organization located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Our mission is to decrease the euthanasia rates of homeless cats and dogs through rescue, adoption, and education on responsible pet guardianship. Established in 2001, we accept dogs and cats from county shelters throughout Arizona and are among the few organizations that assist private individuals in finding new homes for their pets. This support is extended to owners facing various circumstances, including transitions to assisted living, military deployments, or foreclosure situations.
