Lucky Paws Rescue is a cage-free sanctuary and rescue organization located in Scottsdale, Arizona, in Maricopa County, about a mile northeast of the city. It provides a "paradise-inspired," stress-free lifelong environment for rescued dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, pigs, hedgehogs, goats, birds, turtles, and even fish, with special attention to senior and special-needs animals. As a true sanctuary, it is not open to the general public, but the community can meet the animals at public events like golf tournaments, estate sales, monthly yappy hours, and its Fur Ball luncheon, and it regularly brings animals to schools throughout the Valley to teach compassion and responsible pet ownership. Lucky Paws is open to visitors Saturdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and it is one of 90 other animal shelters and rescues serving Maricopa County, Arizona.
