Moms and Mutts Colorado Rescue for Pregnant & Nursing Dogs in Sheridan, CO

We are a foster-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization committed to the health and well-being of dogs and their litters. Our mission encompasses providing care throughout the stages of pregnancy, birth, nursing, weaning, and adoption. In addition to essential care, we focus on socializing, training, and evaluating each dog to facilitate their transition to permanent homes. This work relies on building strong, trusting relationships with our volunteers, adopters, and the community.

Adopting from this shelter

Adoption process

Adopters are required to complete an application that undergoes a comprehensive evaluation. Once an application is approved, it is sent to the foster caregivers for a secondary evaluation. The foster caregivers then conduct interviews with the applicants and arrange meetings between the applicants and the pets. Each adoption is formalized with an adoption contract, and fees may vary. Additionally, home checks are a necessary part of the process.
