About this shelter

Colorado Canine Rescue in Englewood, CO

Colorado Canine Rescue is a dog rescue based in Englewood, Colorado, located in Arapahoe County alongside 9 other animal shelters and rescues, about 7 miles north of Denver. Run entirely by volunteers, the organization rescues dogs from area shelters that have been overlooked and are running out of time. It is not breed specific, taking in dogs based on foster home availability, and considers most of the dogs in its program mutts, since many arrive as strays with little to no known history. Rather than operating from a central facility, Colorado Canine Rescue places its dogs in foster homes where they receive medical and behavioral care until a permanent, well-matched adoptive family is found.
