Adoption Process

Upon receiving an adoption application, we conduct home and background checks. The adoption contract stipulates that if the dog does not fit well with the family, it must be returned. All dogs must be spayed or neutered before adoption, unless they are too young; in such cases, we retain co-ownership until the procedure is completed. Adoption fees vary based on the individual dog.

Tinker's Dream is a nonprofit organization designated as a 501(c)(3) that was established to honor the positive influence Tinker, a rescue dog, had on her owner's life. Tinker transitioned from being a rescue dog to a working service dog, enabling her owner to return to full-time employment. Our primary mission is to rescue Newfoundland dogs and Newfoundland mixes for training as therapy and service dogs. Additionally, we collaborate with other rescues specializing in working breeds to provide educational programs. We are actively seeking foster homes and permanent placements for these exceptional animals. Furthermore, we will offer programs designed to assist veterans and individuals with disabilities in training their own service dogs.
