Adoption Process

Adoption applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The standard adoption fees are as follows: - Large Dogs: $99 - Small Dogs (6 years or older): $99 - Small Dogs (under 6 years): $199 - Puppies (7 months or younger): $350 - Adult Cats: $45 - Kittens: $75 The adoption fee covers spay or neuter surgery, routine vaccinations, a microchip, de-worming, and current heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick control. We strive to process adoption applications on the same day whenever possible. If immediate processing is not feasible, your application will be processed within three business days. An interview will be conducted to discuss your potential pet. During this conversation, we will address the responsibilities of pet ownership and the specific needs of the dog or cat you are considering. If your application is approved, you will have the option to take your pet home the same day or schedule an appointment to do so. We are committed to ensuring the success of each pet in their new home. A follow-up call will take place approximately one month after your adoption to check on your new pet's adjustment to their family.

Our adoption center is located in Wilmington, Delaware, and we facilitate adoptions for residents from other states as well. In addition to our main center at 12 Germay Drive in Wilmington, we operate off-site adoption centers in collaboration with local pet stores in Delaware and Pennsylvania, where additional cats and kittens are available for adoption.
