We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by a board of directors consisting of nine members who meet on a monthly basis. Established in 1978, we typically admit around 700 animals each year, successfully adopting out approximately 75% of them.

Adoption process

We display 13 picture boards of our animals across two towns. All adult animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The adoption contract stipulates that unaltered animals must be returned for neutering once they reach the appropriate age. Additionally, adopters must have a fenced yard for dogs and provide written permission from their landlord if they are renting.
