Adoption Process

Each dog undergoes spaying or neutering, is microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and placed on preventative treatment. Any medical issues are resolved prior to adoption. Dogs are evaluated for a period of 30 days and are not made available for adoption until they meet specific criteria. Once a dog is listed for adoption, interested individuals must complete an application process that includes phone interviews and a home visit. The standard adoption fee is $125, although it may be reduced during special campaigns or if a dog has a sponsor. An adoption contract is required, outlining the expectations for the new owner and ensuring that the dog will always be returned to the rescue if the adoption does not work out.
