Adoption Process

The adoption process involves signing an adoption contract and a microchip contract. There are two levels of adoption available. Level A Adoption includes the following services: For dogs, the adoption fee is $101 for males and $111 for females, which covers spaying or neutering, deworming, a heartworm check, DHPP vaccination, rabies vaccination, and microchipping. For cats, the adoption fee is $121 for males and $126 for females, which includes a Feline Leukemia/FIV test, microchipping, FVRCP-P vaccination, rabies vaccination, deworming, and spaying or neutering. Level B Adoption includes the following services: For dogs, the adoption fee is $70 for males and $80 for females, covering spaying or neutering, deworming, DHPP vaccination, rabies vaccination, and microchipping. For cats, the adoption fee is $65 for males and $70 for females, which includes rabies vaccination, microchipping, spaying or neutering, and deworming.

Loudon County Animal Shelter in loudon, TN

The Loudon County Animal Shelter is a county-operated facility dedicated to animal control and sheltering. Each month, we receive approximately 200 to 500 animals and strive to provide them with opportunities for adoption. Unfortunately, due to overcrowding, many animals do not find homes and may face euthanasia. To address this growing issue, we encourage responsible pet ownership, including spaying and neutering pets. Residents of Loudon County who need financial assistance for spaying or neutering can contact the Humane Society at 671-8654 or visit the shelter to obtain an application. If you are interested in adopting an animal featured on our website, we invite you to visit the shelter to begin the adoption process. Currently, we only accept cash as a form of payment.
