Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an adoption application. Following the review and approval of this application, an adoption meeting will be scheduled. After the meeting, a contract will be prepared for signing, and an adoption donation will be required.

Tails of Courage in Danbury, CT

Tails of Courage is a non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing dogs. We rely entirely on donations and the support of volunteers. Founded in 2009, our mission is to assist as many animals as possible through various programs in the communities we serve. Currently, Tails of Courage has chapters in Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, with plans to expand to Florida, California, and Massachusetts soon. We offer several programs, including Heroic Paws, Traveling Tails of Courage, and Run Your Race, in addition to our animal rescue efforts. We maintain a kennel and also depend on foster homes to care for our animals until they find loving forever homes. We welcome any questions about the adoption process and are committed to providing support to potential adopters throughout their journey.
