Adoption Process

To adopt a pet, you must meet the following requirements: you need to be at least 18 years old or accompanied by an adult, have a current photo ID, and be prepared to invest the necessary time and resources for training, medical care, and proper care of your adopted animal. Upon your arrival at the Kansas Humane Society, you will be asked to complete an Adopter Survey. This one-page survey is designed to understand the type of pet you are seeking and to help us identify which animals may be the best fit for your lifestyle.
