Emmet County Animal Shelter

Emmet County Animal Shelter in Estherville, IA
We operate in a predominantly rural area characterized by a 50% poverty rate and a 40% non-Caucasian or transient population. Unfortunately, the prevailing attitudes toward animals often lead to neglect, abandonment, and a high number of unwanted pets. Our organization is dedicated to rescuing these animals, including those that are neglected, abandoned, injured, or unwanted. We rehabilitate them and facilitate their adoption through a structured process. Since 2010, we have functioned exclusively as a foster-based organization and are currently in the process of constructing a new facility. Our efforts are driven entirely by volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare. We believe that all animals deserve better care, and we strive to provide the best support we can, using the resources available to us and putting our hearts into our work.
