About this shelter

Randall's Rescues, Inc. in Mount Laurel, NJ

We believe that all animals deserve a second chance at finding a warm and loving home, or, for some, even their first opportunity, which we refer to as "the luckiest day of their lives." Many of these animals would not survive without the support of rescue organizations. Our goal is to reduce feral colonies and stray overpopulation through a method known as TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) and TNA (Trap, Neuter, Assess). This approach allows us to gradually remove adoptable cats and kittens from feral colonies and place them in loving homes. For more information on TNR, we recommend visiting Alley Cat Allies, which offers valuable resources for assisting cats in your community and managing feral colonies. We operate differently from traditional shelters and do not have a physical location for our rescues. Instead, all of our animals are fostered in loving homes, where they can adjust to a normal home environment rather than being kept in cages. They receive daily handling, love, and companionship. We typically place animals in foster homes with other pets and children to help ensure their comfort in various environments. Primarily, we rescue animals from Marlton, Cherry Hill, Delran, and many areas in South Jersey. Since November 2013, we have been a New Jersey-based state-certified nonprofit organization and a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are a no-kill animal rescue that depends on our dedicated foster parents to keep our animals safe and comfortable.

Adoption process

If you are looking to add a special member to your family, you have come to the right place. We encourage local adoptions to benefit our community. To begin the process, simply fill out an adoption form, and we will assist you in finding the perfect match for your family. All of our animals undergo a thorough examination by a veterinarian. They are up to date on vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV (for cats), and Heartworm tested (for dogs, if age-appropriate). Each animal is dewormed, spayed or neutered when appropriate, and treated with flea and tick prevention as needed. Additionally, all pets are microchipped at the time of spaying or neutering. Once your application is completed and approved, we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal in their foster home, where they feel most comfortable. If you and the animal seem to be a good match, we will schedule a required home visit before finalizing the adoption. A non-refundable deposit of $50 per pet is required prior to the home visit, which will be applied toward the adoption donation. Adoption fees are as follows: For cats and kittens, the fee is $135. For dogs, the fee is $500 for puppies under one year of age and $400 for adult dogs. Please inquire about potential special rates for adopting bonded pairs.
