Adoption Process

To begin the adoption process, first ensure that you are ready and able to take on the responsibilities of a new pet. Next, complete the adoption form, which can be found on our website. This can be submitted online or downloaded and printed for your convenience. Please reach out to Trenton Cats Rescue for a brief conversation to discuss your needs and preferences, your daily schedule, and your previous experience with pets. If you are a renter, confirm with your landlord that cats are allowed and that you will not be in violation of any pet restrictions. We can assist you in finding a cat that aligns well with your lifestyle, or you may choose to visit with one or more cats that interest you. After the adoption, we will conduct one or more follow-up calls to see how you and your new pet are adjusting and to address any concerns you may have. Adoption fees typically range from $100.00 to $125.00, varying primarily by the age of the cat.
