Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with submitting an application. Following this, a home check will be conducted, and we will verify your ownership or leasing policy. It is also necessary to ensure that any current pets are up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. Once these steps are completed and approval is granted, a foster caregiver will arrange a meet and greet. If this meeting is successful, the adoption can be finalized. The adopter will then sign a contract and pay the adoption fee through our website as a donation.

Service Areas

The service area includes the Greater Orlando region, extending as far north as Volusia County and as far south as Osceola County. We primarily serve most of Central Florida and are open to reaching beyond this area for the right family.

A Better Life Pet Rescue in Maitland, FL

Our mission is to rescue animals from difficult circumstances and to empower community members to provide foster care until these pets are ready for permanent adoption. We collaborate with a select number of foster homes that care for animals who have been neglected, abused, or are in urgent need of assistance. Additionally, we support families looking to rehome their pets by encouraging them to foster until an ideal home is found. Our team consists entirely of volunteers who believe that even a small group can make a meaningful impact.
