Adoption Process

We adopt cats only to indoor homes and do not permit declawing. All cats over four months of age are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For cats under four months, we provide a voucher for spay/neuter, as they need to complete their FVRCPC vaccine series before undergoing surgery to minimize the risk of parvovirus. Our adoption contract includes the right to conduct home visits, stipulates rehoming policies, establishes a spay/neuter deadline for kittens, and reinforces the no declawing policy. The minimum adoption fee donation is $65 for adult cats and $75 for kittens, which includes spaying or neutering, up-to-date vaccinations, and a microchip.

Service Areas

We serve the areas of Pensacola, Milton, and Gulf Breeze, located in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.

Everett Animal Welfare Group, Inc. in Pensacola, FL

We started our organization in response to the widespread neglect of cats and kittens found on the streets, implementing a trap-neuter-return (TNR) approach. We provide temporary care for adoptable kittens and adult cats until they find permanent homes. Our mission aligns with the no-kill movement, focusing on preventing animals from entering shelters that euthanize by promoting spay and neuter programs for both community cats and pets belonging to local residents. For the past ten years, we have been engaged in this vital work, and we recently achieved 501(c)(3) status to enhance our efforts and honor the legacy of Barney Everett. His dedication to TNR in Suwanee County, Florida, was remarkable; in the last two years of his life, he facilitated the spay and neuter of over 982 primarily trapped cats.
