Adoption Process

Adoption fees vary. An application is required, along with a reference check, a veterinary reference check, and a home visit. Once approved, a meet-and-greet will be scheduled. An adoption contract will be signed at the time of adoption. Our rescues can always be returned to our organization, which is stipulated in the contract.

Maxx & Me Pet Rescue in Tampa, FL

Maxx & Me Pet Rescue was established in memory of my golden retriever, Maxx, who we lost at the young age of 3.5 years due to histiocytic sarcoma. I have been passionate about animal rescue for many years, with all of my dogs being rescues. I have transported thousands of animals from shelters to foster homes and adoptive families, and I have participated in a Pilots N Paws flight to support rescue efforts. As a real estate broker, I currently fund the majority of the dogs we save personally, as we work to expand our organization. Recently, we rescued 23 dogs from a hoarding situation in Levy County, Florida, in February and March of this year.
