The Ferret Association of Connecticut, Inc. (FACT) is a ferret rescue based in Hartford, Connecticut, roughly two miles northeast of the city, in Hartford County, where it is one of 22 animal shelters and rescues serving the area. FACT is a non-profit, humane and educational 501(c)3 organization founded in January 1991, dedicated to helping ferret owners, caretakers, and the ferrets themselves. It provides ferret shelter and adoption services, placement and behavioral counseling, multi-level education, care and health information, and permanent care for displaced ferrets, guided by the belief that an educated, informed owner is better able to care for their pets.
