Adoption Process

To begin the adoption process, potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application, which will initiate the screening procedure. Upon approval of the application, a contract must be signed to agree to the terms of the adoption. Smitten With Kittens requests a donation of $100 for each adoption. This donation includes the spay or neuter surgery, current vaccinations, deworming, and FIV/FeLV testing. The funds collected help cover the medical expenses for all rescued animals, not just individual cases. Once the adoption is finalized, the adopter will be able to take the kitten home along with a copy of the medical records.

Smitten With Kittens is an all-volunteer, no-kill 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on rescuing and fostering cats and kittens in Tallahassee. Our mission is to help as many kittens as possible find permanent, loving homes. As we do not operate a shelter, we have limitations on the number of felines we can assist. However, with community support through fostering and volunteering, we aim to expand our capacity to help more animals in need.
