Adoption Process

To initiate the adoption process, please complete an application for the animal you wish to adopt, which can be found in the Forms section. If your application is approved, we will reach out to you to schedule a meeting to finalize the necessary paperwork. Please note that some dogs may require a home check before the adoption can be completed.

Suntree-Viera Pet Rescue, Inc. is dedicated to rescuing animals from local high-kill shelters and finding them permanent homes. Our focus is on taking in pets from euthanasia lists and providing them with foster care in private homes until they are adopted. We advocate for the spaying and neutering of all domestic dogs and cats, as well as feral cats, in compliance with federal law. Additionally, we educate the community about the importance of responsible medical and emotional care for pets. We continue to offer foster care for numerous animals as they await adoption. Prior to adoption, all animals are spayed or neutered, and they receive age-appropriate vaccinations along with any necessary medical care.
