Adoption process

All greyhounds are available for adoption through an application process, and adopters must commit to keeping the greyhound as an indoor pet. At the time of adoption, all greyhounds, except for puppies, will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, heartworm tested, and have their teeth cleaned and nails trimmed. A small adoption fee is required to help cover these services. An application form must be completed at the time of dog selection. A deposit is necessary to reserve the chosen greyhound, which will be applied toward the adoption fee. A home visit is mandatory, during which an adoption contract will be signed. All members of the household, including pets, must be present during this visit. Please note that children must be at least eight years old to adopt a greyhound. If the need arises to give up the greyhound, the dog must be returned to the Ranch and cannot be surrendered to any other animal facility or individual. Additionally, greyhounds must always be on a leash and collar when outside of a house or fenced area.
