Adoption Process

The adoption donation for each dog is $200.00. All dogs undergo temperament testing and are approved before adoption, and they come with a certificate confirming their status. Each dog is spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm negative, and current on prevention. They are also de-wormed and have monthly Promeris applied. Additionally, all dogs are microchipped and include a paid voucher for a wellness exam through Rugaz Rescue Inc.

Rugaz Rescue Inc. is a rapidly growing foster and adoption organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of animals. We focus on rescuing pets that have been abandoned or left to fend for themselves, ensuring that we only place the most suitable animals into loving homes. Our mission includes educating the public about Pit Bulls and promoting responsible ownership of the breed. We provide in-home support for families with challenging dogs, helping to strengthen the bond between pets and their forever homes. We collaborate closely with local Animal Control facilities to rescue animals facing euthanasia and assist the public with owner surrenders due to emergencies or life changes. While we may not be able to assist every animal in need, we are committed to doing our utmost to help as many as possible. In February, a significant transition led us to change our organization's name. One of our beloved Pit Bulls, Aztek, was adopted by Blue, who has since become the co-director of the rescue. His deep affection for Aztek inspired him to leave his previous job to dedicate himself fully to helping these wonderful dogs. This journey mirrors that of our founder, who started the rescue after losing her own dog. Tragically, Blue also lost Aztek recently, prompting us to reflect on the shared experiences of two people and their dogs. As a tribute to both Ruger and Aztek, we decided to rebrand our rescue to honor their impact on our lives and the lives of others. Thus, we are proud to introduce our new name: Rugaz Rescue Inc.
