R.A.I.N. is committed to rescuing cats and dogs from local animal shelters, individuals who can no longer care for their pets, and stray animals. Our mission is to assist as many animals as possible, understanding that each one we save makes a significant impact. Our volunteers are dedicated to caring for, socializing, protecting, medicating, and, most importantly, loving these deserving animals. We are continuously in urgent need of foster homes for both cats and dogs. The more temporary housing we can offer, the more lives we can save.

Adopting from Rescuing Animals in Need

Adoption process

The adoption process is straightforward, though several requirements must be met. You are required to complete an adoption application and either visit PetSmart or meet with a rescue representative for a personal interview. If you express interest in a specific pet, we can arrange to bring that animal to PetSmart for a meeting or meet at another agreed-upon location. The standard adoption fees are $95 for cats and start at $150 for dogs, with purebred animals potentially incurring higher fees. Please note that all animals are spayed or neutered, and the adoption fee covers all necessary veterinary care. For additional information about a specific animal, please reach out to us.

Service area: We primarily serve the Greater Orlando area, which includes Sanford, Lake Mary, Orlando, Casselberry, Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Winter Springs, Kissimmee, Daytona Beach, Deltona, Osteen, Winter Garden, Winter Park, and additional surrounding locations.
