Adoption Process

Most of the animals in our care are foster animals from Orange County Animal Services (OCAS), meaning they remain the property of OCAS. To adopt one of these animals, individuals must complete an application form and submit it in person at OCAS. The adoption fee for these animals is $40, and renters must provide verification of their pet policy. The adoption process for animals owned by KFCI is similar, but adoption fees may vary based on the individual animal. We strive to keep these fees close to $40, even if our expenses are significantly higher.

We are a nonprofit organization committed to offering a temporary, caring environment for homeless cats while actively seeking permanent, loving homes for them. We collaborate closely with Orange County Animal Services, volunteering in their foster program and engaging in various other volunteer activities. Additionally, we aim to educate the public about pet overpopulation, the advantages of spaying and neutering, and general cat care.
