Adoption Process

All applicants must reside in Florida. If you are located outside of Florida, please visit www.siberianrescue.com for a list of husky rescues in your area. Adoption donations are as follows: $225 for dogs aged 5 to 12 months, $200 for those aged 13 months to 2 years, $175 for dogs aged 2 to 7 years, and $100 for dogs over 7 years. These donations cover spaying or neutering, annual vaccinations (including heartworm and fecal tests), and a pre-registered microchip. Due to an average cost of $375 per rescued dog and the increase in veterinary prices since 2006, we have adjusted our adoption donations accordingly. Please note that adoptions cannot be made as gifts; the recipient must complete the SFSHRI application. Additionally, adopters must be at least 18 years old.

South Florida Siberian Husky Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding homes for purebred Siberian Huskies that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned, as well as those surrendered by their owners. We provide placement assistance for dogs that can be fostered by their current owners. Our services also include counseling, training assistance, and breed information to help Siberian Husky owners address issues with their pets and explore alternatives to surrendering them. Additionally, we offer a free service on our website for posting lost and found Siberian Huskies. The organization was established with several key objectives: to rescue abused, abandoned, and owner-surrendered purebred Siberian Huskies; to promote spaying and neutering; to find quality homes for rescued Huskies; to prevent cruelty to the breed through education; to raise public awareness about responsible pet ownership; and to work towards eliminating backyard breeders and puppy mills.
