The Road Home Animal Project in St Clairsville, OH
TRHAP is a 501(c)(3) organization that operates entirely on a volunteer basis and is fully foster-based. Established in 2014, our mission is to assist animals in various situations of need. We support private pet owners who can no longer care for their animals and rescue dogs from high-kill shelters. Additionally, when animals are brought to a veterinarian for treatment of illness or injury, and the owner cannot afford the necessary care, our veterinary partner offers them the option to contact us. We aim to provide these animals with a chance for recovery and help them find loving homes. For any advanced diagnostics, care, or treatment recommended by our veterinarian, we utilize the services of Ohio State Veterinary Hospital.

Adoption process
The adoption fee covers spaying or neutering when appropriate, performed at our veterinary partner, as well as microchipping, vaccinations including DhlppC, Lyme, Bordetella, and rabies, and heartworm and Lyme testing for dogs over six months of age. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application, as we operate on a foster-based model. Once your application is approved, we will contact you to arrange a meeting with the dog to ensure a good match for your family.
