Adoption Process

The adoption process includes a telephone interview, character reference checks, a landlord verification, and a veterinary history check, all for a fee of $225. Additionally, there will be an adoption contract and a home visit.

Freedom Greyhound Rescue Inc is a nonprofit organization recognized under 501(c)(3) that is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers committed to serving our community. Our mission is to assist retired racing greyhounds in finding their forever homes, guiding them from the racetrack to a loving household. We are deeply committed to giving back to the community that supports our initiatives through education, awareness, and public engagement with our dogs. We operate independently and are not affiliated with any other organization or group. The welfare of our greyhounds is our top priority, and we welcome all dogs regardless of their origin. Our foster program relies on families and individuals who provide temporary homes for the dogs, as we do not have a physical shelter. We do not employ paid staff; instead, we find fulfillment in the love and joy expressed by our greyhounds through their smiles, kisses, and wagging tails.
