Adoption Process

The adoption process is as follows: First, contact the foster caregiver via email to request an application. Once you receive the application, complete and submit it to the foster caregiver. The application will then be reviewed, and personal and veterinary references will be checked. A phone call may be made to the prospective adopting home, and additional questions may be sent via email. After this, a home visit will be scheduled and conducted. Please note that Rescue Alliance does not ship animals. It is the responsibility of the new adopter to arrange for pickup. Additionally, Rescue Alliance does not adopt to homes with unaltered pets, homes that utilize invisible fencing, or homes with children under the age of ten. If you are interested in adopting, please email the foster coordinator at [email protected] for an application. Rescue Alliance operates through a network of foster homes across the country and does not have a physical shelter for visitors.

Our foster homes are spread across the United States, and we do not operate from a single central location. For inquiries about any of our foster animals, please reach out directly to the foster home listed, rather than contacting our office in New Port Richey, FL, which does not serve as a foster home. We are also actively seeking volunteers for fostering and transportation. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, please get in touch with us for more information.
