Adoption Process

All adoptions necessitate an approved application. To ensure a suitable match with the animal, we require that current pets are spayed or neutered and up to date with their veterinary care. The adoption fees are as follows: for cats and kittens, the fee is $100 each or $80 for a pair; for puppies, the fee is $200; for adult dogs, the fee is $150; and for senior dogs, the fee is $125.

The Taylor County SPCA is a nonprofit animal rescue organization based in Central Kentucky, operating under 501(c)(3) status. Our efforts are solely supported by volunteers who commit their time to rescuing animals in need. We offer safe and nurturing foster homes for animals until they can be matched with their permanent families. Additionally, we support the community through a low-cost spay and neuter voucher program.
