We facilitate the transfer of dogs to larger rescue organizations for the purpose of adoption.

Joyful Paws K-9 Rescue, Inc. in Flatwoods, KY

We are a foster-based 501(c)(3) rescue organization that does not conduct adoptions directly. Instead, we transfer our dogs to other reputable rescues, primarily located out of state, due to the inadequate dog welfare laws and enforcement in Kentucky. Our focus is on rescuing dogs in our local area that are in need, and we occasionally collaborate with shelters when there is an overflow of dogs.
