The adoption process includes the following steps: submitting an application, completing a home visit, providing personal and veterinary references, signing a contract, and paying a fee of $200.

We are a dedicated team of volunteers based in Ashland, Kentucky, located within the Tri-State area where West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio meet. Our organization primarily focuses on assisting dogs from our local shelter, the Boyd County Animal Control Shelter, while also extending our support to needy dogs across all three states within a certain radius. Tri-State K9 Lifeline works collaboratively with rescues and shelters by pulling, fostering, networking, transporting, and caring for shelter dogs in need. As a non-profit rescue group, our mission is to help the most vulnerable dogs and puppies in our community, including strays, orphans, and abandoned animals. Our mission includes: - Rescuing and providing sanctuary for stray and abandoned dogs and puppies, striving to secure permanent, loving homes for each one. - Promoting respect and compassion for all living beings through humane education. - Reducing pet overpopulation by raising public awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals. Tri-State K9 Lifeline is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, meaning that all donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. All funds received from donations go directly to the care of our dogs. As a volunteer-run organization, we rely entirely on donations and fundraising efforts, as we do not receive any government funding. We are committed to helping you build a lifelong bond with a companion and providing a fulfilling life for dogs who may have never experienced one before.
