Adoption Process

Our organization has a strict adoption process to ensure the well-being of our animals. Interested applicants must first complete an application. If the application is approved, the applicant will be required to sign an adoption agreement. There is an adoption fee of $100 for dogs and $65 for cats. Additionally, we require a home visit and conduct periodic follow-ups with the adopter.

Fur Ever Friends, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals who rescue homeless, abused, or neglected dogs and cats. We assist these efforts by subsidizing the costs of spaying and neutering, helping to find foster homes, and facilitating adoptions. Our organization operates entirely through the efforts of unpaid volunteers and does not maintain a shelter. Our funding is derived from donations provided by generous supporters, which has allowed us to extend our services well beyond our small rural community. As a result, we have successfully helped hundreds of puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats find better lives. Our initiatives include covering partial or sometimes full costs for spaying and neutering for pet owners who cannot afford the surgery, subsidizing essential emergency veterinary care through partnerships with local veterinarians, coordinating transportation for animals over long distances, and distributing donated pet food to rescuers caring for large populations of dogs. We collaborate with other animal welfare organizations to facilitate adoptions, arrange foster care for pets whose owners have passed away or can no longer care for them, and provide guidance to caregivers on various animal care topics. Additionally, we have treated numerous stray animals for health issues and provided necessary vaccinations before placing them in foster care. We also lend out equipment, such as kennels and carriers, at no cost for short-term use. We encourage anyone seeking more information to contact us via mail or email.
