Adoption Process

To begin the adoption process, we request that an application be completed for the animal of interest. Once the application is approved, we will arrange a meeting with the animal, which will have already received necessary veterinary care such as spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and heartworm testing. The adoption fee starts at $125, and a contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Service Areas

We primarily source animals from the Nelson County animal shelter, which is a high-kill facility that does not engage in adoptions. Animals surrendered by owners may be euthanized within a day, while strays are typically euthanized within five days. In terms of adoptions, we have successfully placed animals in homes across the country.
