Adopting from Pal's Place Foundation
Adoption process
Most of our dogs are rescued from Hazard County, Kentucky. After their rescue, the dogs are placed in foster homes in Chicago. While in foster care, they receive comprehensive veterinary care, which includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, parasite control and testing, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary, and any additional medical care needed prior to adoption. All dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered before being placed in their forever homes. Our adoption fees are $175 for senior dogs (8 years and older), $375 for adult dogs, and $475 for puppies aged 6 months or younger. To be considered for adoption, an application must be submitted, and an adoption contract will be signed at the time of adoption. This contract includes a clause stating that any dog must be returned to Pal's Place for re-placement if the adopter is unable to care for the dog.
