Adoption Process

Applicants are required to submit an application and successfully complete a comprehensive screening process that includes veterinary and personal reference checks. Additionally, they must sign contracts and pay an adoption fee.

Service Areas

We primarily accept animals from Perry County; however, we also take in animals from other areas, particularly in cases where there is an influx of pets from a neighboring county due to situations such as hoarding. Additionally, our adopters are required to reside within a 100-mile radius of our location.

We operate a no-kill shelter dedicated to educating the public on responsible pet ownership and the significance of spaying and neutering pets. We advocate for pet adoption rather than purchasing pets. Our mission includes promoting the health of pets through routine veterinary care, proper nutrition, and regular exercise. We actively recruit volunteers to assist with the care of our animals. Currently, we have only two employees and rely primarily on our dedicated volunteer staff.
